How to Make a Windows 8 System Recovery Disc, Repair, Restore Boot Disk CD

If you didn’t get a Windows Installation Disc when you purchased your computer, a system recovery CD can easily be made in order to assist in repairing/recovering your existing copy of Windows. With this disc, you will have the same tools used by a lot of computer technicians to recover a broken Windows installation. It provides you with the option of repairing your system (searches for problems and attempts to fix them automatically), rolling back to a previous system restore point, or recovering a full PC backup if one exists on your PC.
Recovery disc features include:
  • Startup Repair –  Fixes certain problems, such as missing or damaged system files, that might prevent Windows from starting correctly.
  • System Restore - Restores your computer’s system files to an earlier point in time without affecting your personal files,  documents, or photos.
  • System Image Recovery - You need to have created a system image beforehand to use this option.
  • Physical memory Diagnostic Tool – A very useful tool. Memory errors usually indicate a problem with the hardware chips in your computer.
  • Command Prompt - For advanced users only.  Perform command line recovery-related operations.
The Windows 8 Recovery Environment is a powerful and useful tool for troubleshooting and resolving problems with your system.  It provides you with both automated and manual tools to make this not only an easy process but also one that works!
In order to create a Windows 8 System Recovery Disc, please follow these instructions within a working copy of Windows 8:
