Earlier in the month, Yu Televentures finally unveiled the phone that it has been teasing for a while now. They were claiming it be the most powerful smartphone in India. The phone is dubbed Yu Yutopia and is retailing exclusively via Amazon.in for Rs. 24,999. The pre-booking of the phone had gone live from December 17, 2015 and the shipping has started today.

Though there are no flash sales for the Yu Yutopia but the company has mentioned that the quantity will be limited. Apart from the specs, there is a lot of being said about the design of the phone. Yu Yutopia features a unibody metallic design and has a thickness of 7.2mm. There is a fingerprint scanner at the back that can be used to unlock the device and can also click with the same.

The front is occupied by a 5.2-inch 2K display with pure black touch panel OGS glass, which offers a pixel count of 565ppi. It is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 64-bit Octa-core CPU that is coupled with 4GB of RAM. To handle graphical intensive tasks, the smartphone has Adreno 430 GPU.

In terms of imaging, Yu Yutopia integrates a 21MP rear camera with Sony's IMX 230 sensor. It can record 4K video at 30fps and 1080p videos at 60fps. The camera is also equipped with Optical Image Stablisation. The font has an 8MP shooter that has a 5P lens with 86 degree wide angle.

Yu has also taken care of the audiophiles and is offering Little Bird earphones by the House of Marley in the box. The earphones has a 9.2mm audio driver and features a noise isolation design.

Yu Yutopia supports 4G LTE and Quick Charge 2.0 that according to Micromax can charge the battery from 0 to 60 per cent in 30 minutes. There is a non-removable 3,000mAh battery to power up the handset. The smartphone runs Cyanogen 12.1 OS, which is based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. The smartphone has a 32GB internal memory that can be expanded via microSD card.

The phone also is the first to come with a service platform called Around Yu. The portal offers users results related to their queries such as hotel, cabs, restaurants, flight booking as well as shopping. It is integrated in the smartphone and can be accessed by swiping right from the home-screen.

The company has also partnered with Airtel and any new 4G Airtel SIM activated will be eligible for an equivalent GB of data free. The offer is valid for 6 months.

The Yu Yutopia also comes with an upgrade plan, which is if you buy this phone via EMI, you will get a 40 per cent cashback if you upgrade to its successor.
